TEPP PROGRAM INFO
The Telecommunications Equipment Purchase Program (TEPP) helps people with disabilities buy specialized equipment they need in order to use basic telephone services, this includes TippyTalk EDU.
The TEPP Program is sponsored by the Wisconsin Universal Service Fund, which was established by the Public Service Commission.
To qualify, participants must:
- Be a Wisconsin resident
- Be a person who is deaf, hard of hearing, speech, mobility or motion impaired
- Be a person who requires special equipment to use a phone in-home or when traveling
It generally takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive your voucher. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received and vouchers are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Available only to eligible Wisconsin residents as per the TEPP rules. Requires $100 customer co-payment. $100 co-payment support available through TAP for eligible customers (TAP is only for persons who are deaf or severely hard of hearing in a low-income household). Customers must apply for the WI TEPP Voucher. Eligible consumers can choose among other approved products and vendors.
